About Me
Hi! I am a therapist in private practice in Brighton, NY (Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege). I graduated from Syracuse University in 2011 with my Bachelor’s and Gordon-Conwell in 2015 with my Master’s. I have worked at an eating disorder non-profit in Boston, MA; a public school in Boston, MA; Rochester Institute of Technology; and an eating disorder non-profit in Rochester, NY before beginning my own practice. I am passionate about empathetic and personalized care. I specialize in eating disorders, mood disorders, and life transitions.
I am also a major Swiftie, a coffee lover, and a bookworm.
Therapy Style
This is my cozy office! The space is brimming with fidgets, tea, a bean bag, snacks, plants, books, and space for you. I integrate DBT, IFS-informed work, ACT, CBT, CBT-AR, and psychodynamic approaches. I also believe that clients should have a lot of say as to what each session is about!
Here are some recent trainings I’ve done: Schema- Focused Therapy Parts 1 & 2; ERP for OCD with Dr. Melanie Smith; Understanding Neurodiversity Affirming Care; Beck Institute CBT for Depression; CEDS (Certified Eating Disoder Specialist) training; Celia Clark’s “Working with Disordered Eating Through a Parts Work Model”; NICABM’s “Working with the Core Belief of ‘Not Good Enough’”; CBT-AR (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID) with Dr. Jennifer Thomas
